Indian Fashion Today

The Indian fashion industry has evolved so much in the last few years. Indians have started to become more particular with what they wear. This is usually linked to higher incomes of the locals, leading even to a greater demand for designer outfits.

In decades past, branded clothing could only be afforded by the elite, but costs have recently decreased along with an increase in availability at dulhanwear. Indeed, the market for this type of clothes has been steadily expanding. It appears like more and more locals are now keen on wearing branded clothing. Many brands of both national and international apparel have clicked with the Indian masses. But what in particular are the factors that make an impact in the Indian clothing evolution?

Certainly, there are many but let's start with what is perhaps the most obvious - malls. There's no denying that these malls have shaped a whole new culture. Besides, these enormous buildings are an all-in-one store for a wide range of apparel brands. India now has a long list of malls which are incredibly popular, especially with teenagers and yuppies. An international shopping experience is one thing that these places offer. At the same time, local family stores are also popular and are becoming a shopping hub for a huge number of Indians. In these shops are a complete line of clothing or apparel for every member of the family.

Besides malls, boutique like dulhanwear.com have also contributed significantly to the evolution of Indian fashion. A boutique is a small store selling more unique products made by a certain designer. Many Indian designers have their own boutiques where they showcase their creations. These shops may be operated online, offline or both. Either way, they are in demand among shoppers.

Fashion shows and beauty pageants are also very influential to the Indian fashion evolution. The best fashion designers of the country often hire male and female models to parade their creations during fashion shows. As a matter of fact, India has been attracting a lot of attention for about two decades now  through different fashion-related events. It was particularly in the nineties when its fashion industry started to boom. And with international beauty pageants proclaiming Indians Sushmita Sen and Aishwarya Rai (among others) as the world's most beautiful women, the industry got an even stronger boost.

Of course, the fashion institutes also have their role to play. So many of them have surfaced lately, proof that India now considers fashion a serious business. Every year, these institutes produce thousands of new graduates. The Indian fashion industry has actually never been busier than it is today. No doubt it has come to par with international standards.
